Inside a climate profile: Units, Recipients and Manage

Updated

Each active climate profile can be expanded to reveal three tabs: Units, Recipients, and Manage profile.

Units tab

The Units tab shows every sensor assigned to this profile. For each sensor you can see:

  • Unit name and sensor type (for example, Humidity or Lux)
  • Site and area the sensor belongs to
  • Current state : live readings, colour-coded against the profile's thresholds. Amber means the reading is approaching the threshold range. Readings within the optimal range appear without colour.
  • Notification : whether alerts are on or off for that sensor

Filter the list by Unit Name or Site/Area using the dropdown arrows in the column headers.

If a sensor shows no current state reading, it may not measure the metrics this profile monitors. A lux sensor, for example, will not show a temperature reading.

Recipients tab

The Recipients tab shows everyone set up to receive notifications when this profile's thresholds are breached.

For each recipient you can see:

  • Their name, email address, and user role
  • Whether SMS notifications are enabled
  • Whether Email notifications are enabled

You can toggle SMS and email on or off for individual recipients directly from this tab, without going through the full notification setup wizard again.

To add new recipients or change which thresholds trigger notifications, use Edit notification settings in the Manage profile tab.

Manage profile tab

The Manage profile tab gives you access to profile-level actions.

Edit notification settings opens the notification setup wizard where you can modify recipients, schedule, customisation, or target units. See Setting up notifications for a profile for the full walkthrough.

Archive Profile moves the profile out of your active list. The profile and its data are retained and can be restored later. You will be asked to confirm before anything is archived.

Delete Climate Profile permanently removes the profile. This cannot be undone.

Archiving and deleting are different. Archive a profile if you might need it again. Only delete if you are certain you no longer need it.

Archiving a profile

When you click Archive Profile, a confirmation dialogue appears asking you to confirm. Click Archive Climate Profile to proceed, or Cancel to go back.
