You can create a new site from the Sites tab at any time. A site represents a physical building or venue where your sensors are installed.
How to create a site
- Go to the Sites tab in the top navigation bar.
- Click New Site + in the top right corner.
- Give your site a name, for example "Main Museum Building" or "Off-site Storage Facility".
- Optionally add a description and a location address.
- Save the site.
Your new site appears in the Sites list. It will be empty until you add areas and units to it.
Once created, open the site and use Add area to set up rooms or zones within the building, then Add units to assign sensors to those areas.
If you manage several buildings, adding a location address to each site makes them easier to tell apart, especially if names are similar.
Sorting your sites
Each site has a Sorting ID field in its General settings. This number controls the order sites appear in the list. Lower numbers appear first. To update it, click the settings cog on any site card and go to the General tab.
