Adding areas and units

You can add new areas and assign sensor units to a site from within Climate Analytics.

Adding an area

1. Click + Add area in the top right of the Climate Analytics page, or go to Site settings and open the Manage units tab.
2. Enter a name for the area in the Name field.
3. Optionally select sensors to assign to it straight away using the Select sensors dropdown. You can also add sensors later.
4. Click Create Area.

The new area appears in the table view and in the Manage units panel.

Adding units to an existing area

1. Click + Add units in the top right of the Climate Analytics page.
2. Select the sensor you want to assign from the list.
3. Choose which area it belongs to.

Sensors that have not yet been assigned to any area appear in the Unit inventory on the Dashboard.

Areas and units can also be managed from the Site settings panel. Go to the Manage units tab to see all existing areas, move sensors between them, or delete an area.
